So today I was in Joann's picking up summore hem tape. A regular sized, fit looking kid was playing with a puppy keychain. It was pretty cute. He holds it up to his mom, and says, "Can I get this?"

His mom was really fat. She says (and I quote directly, this has been burned into my memory), "We can get you some candy for the same price. Why don't you pick out some candy instead?"

Yup. And he didn't really want to, but did anyway 'cos Mom said so and wouldn't get him the $1 puppy.

Day 01. Your favourite song: Ara Batur ; Sigur Ros



This was actually kinda tough. I like a LOT of songs quite a bit, but this one in particular fills me with emotions faster and easier than any other. Sigur Ros is the prime example of the fact that you don't need to know a language to feel the soul of a song. Listening to Ara Batur the first time made me smile and weep simultaneously. Love this song.

Living with someone you don't know is really weird. Or friend Dylan got a sweet job in CT, so he moved out last month. Not wanting to pay tons more in rent and bills, we basically snagged the first person interested and threw them into his room. She's a nice girl... I think. She moved in last night and I have literally not seen her since. I think she's still in her room. Just... sitting in there, with the door shut. Doing anything is awkward. Taking a shower this morning was the worst. I'm going to leave the apartment and spend much more time doing errands than I need to just to get out of the house, because the air is THICK with awkward. For once, none of it is from me. I'm a super nice person to strangers, it's why I'm good at customer service. It's all herrrrr it's so weirrrrrrddddd.

Also, anyone know where I can get a good Lady Gaga layout? I'm using one of kuribati's jrock layouts with the header changed XD I love their layouts, but I want something really graphics intense! Also that keeps my icons their real size! Google is not helping :(

Not much new here. Working at Seven Stars Bakery, sewing some costumes for some peeps, gonna be at Otakon (who else here is going?), working out like a maniac (lost 2 lbs so far, have biceps finally), officially moving to CA in September. Dats about it.

Can I just say... I really don't understand this fucking baby madness lately. I hear so often on the radio, "INFERTILITY TREATMENT! WE HALP U GET PRAGNANT! GET BABBIES HERE!!" and also, "FINANCING AVAILABLE IN CASE YOU CAN'T AFFORD TREATMENT!!!!!" I'm not trying to be cold here... because I have lady parts, I understand the urge to have children. It's a natural thing we have in order to progress and maintain our species. It happens, it's PRIMAL. I get them, too! The difference is, I realize that I am a) unmarried, b) making 20,000 a year, c) 24, and d) still have shit I want to do in my life. For a lot of infertile women, they want babbiez and are totally ready and rich and stuff. But for the "FINANCING AVAILABLE" women: fuckin' really!? You want a baby so bad you're willing to bring one into your family when you don't even have enough funds to support YOURSELF medically?????!?!?!? Babies cost something crazy like 20,000 their first year. I just don't understand why people don't fucking care about this kind of shit. If you're not 100% okay financially, maybe like... WAIT TO HAVE KIDS UNTIL YOU ARE or something, gee whiz... this is why there are so many shitty kids in the world.
